The unique circumstances of college sports: recruiting, wildly different budgets, wildly different sized cities, housing being a team issue, etc. make it impossible to know if a coach will succeed at a different school regardless of their prior level of success.

Yeah the problem is the popular perception is that if you keep playing a guy who used to be good and he never figures it out that's his fault, but if you replace a vet with a young guy who struggles that's the team's fault.

In the past I could see them hype a game they don't have just because they might have that team's game next week. Now that there's no chance they air a B1G game I'm sure they're always thinking of skipping them.
