I visited Wheaton during my freshman year at St Olaf College (small liberal arts college in MN) and almost transferred but didn't.

Claiming that we're morally superior to all other countries while banning teaching of actual history is quite a thing. If we want people to think we live up to our ideals, we should live up to our ideals, not pretend that we always have.

Oh what is the homeschool free book perk you speak of? Is that different than the regular rewards?

Checking these out now!

Our daughter has actually read it before but I haven't, so I'm excited!

Sorry just realized you're already using B&R. 🫣 I think TL is great for the reading list and questions but that's about it. We do use many other subject specific curriculums to round it out. We're even doing a novel study from B&R 3 right now.

For the most part, yes. It's mostly a reading list/schedule sorta like Build Your Library but more modern books and diverse. I like B&R too but the layout and organization doesn't work as well for us. I'd look at a sample if you haven't yet. They're both great programs though.

Awesome thank you I'll check that out. Thankfully our local library and bookstore support keeping banned books and even promote them.

I need to do that too, do you have a list you could share?

Ahh ok, thank you! I just got off all meta and am now just using only texting but it's good to know there are even better safer alternatives.

New to this, is signal an alternative to messenger or all texting?
