Small, significant long-term effects of social norm interventions on pro-environmental behavior: new meta-analysis (~22-month FU). Even small shifts matter at scale, but we need to boost effectiveness. Thank you Frederike Lemmel & @tholehoppen.bsky.social, #climatechange: doi.org/10.1016/j.je...

Meta-analysis of 79 controlled trials (1M+ participants) shows social comparison boosts pro-environmental, health & performance behaviors. Effects are small, but the intervention is very low-cost—and its efficacy can be enhanced. A promising tool for behavior change. Outstanding work, Thole & Rieke.
Grateful to publish with my mentor, @nexh-morina.bsky.social y.social, with my co-lead author, @riekemcuno.bsky.social, and my remaining co authors: Janna Nelson, Pascal Schlechter and Frederike (Rike) Lemmel.

It was a joyful experience and fantastic team work 👏 Thank you.

End of thread.

In this longitudinal study coordinated by Dana Churbaji, we tracked PTSD, depression & anxiety in war survivors in NW Syria after the 2023 earthquakes. Despite recovery trends, prevalence stayed high. RNT predicted worse outcomes.
