FINALLY! AN UPDATE!! I needed to take in the back seam and reinforce the side seams (and take a break due to a Bad Week at work) but it's finally time to make the end cap and belt loop 😭😭

Ok we're leaving off with ONE WHOLE SIDE SEAM!! Gonna be real I didn't think I'd get this far today

Whats fucked up is I still need to make a scarf and ear fins too. I still have my 10 year old undyne ear fins but they're not very good considering I was 14 when I made them and they've survived 5 moves and one rework when I used them for Eridan

Crayola has a decent air dry clay that's in a lot of craft sections and affordable, but it may crack over time.
Apoxie Sculpt is popular among the doll customizers I take inspo from, it's a 2-part putty that you mix and then have some time to sculpt as it cures.

If you already have or can buy it, I'd highly recommend either an air dry clay or apoxy putty that cures at room temp. I had issues with the tail changing shape during the baking process, it didn't fit quite right when I put it back on and I had to make it work with puffy paint to fill the gaps.

I used sculpey polymer clay just because it's what I had on hand, I put some plastic wrap as a barrier between the duck and the tail for sculpting it the right shape, and then baked it separate before gluing it on
