The last provision in the Big Beautiful Bill increases the debt ceiling by $4 trillion. The national debt is $36 trillion. Trump increased the debt $8 trillion in his first administration. The CBO says this bill, after interest, will cost $5.1 trillion. We’re being asked to disregard the obvious.

If NYT is lying their ass off, the world’s richest man can sue the NYT for defamation. Musk can then be deposed under oath --under penalty of perjury-- and provide sworn testimony as to exactly what substances he ingests. Certainly a libeled man would take these steps to protect his good name.

I am a gay man. When I read Ms. E. Jean Carroll’s deposition (under oath) detailing her rape by Donald Trump in 1996, I became angry, got tears in my eyes and was nauseated. How could anyone treat another human being like that? She said that he caused her physical pain and that she was terrified.

First books so important. I read Big Red Barn in first grade in 2003. I still have it. None of the mice in the book were transgender.

I had no one to answer my questions. When I was 18 I drove 43 miles to buy this book in a big city. It was a relief reading it. This book is explicit but not pornographic. It was so nice that a man who was our small town Episcopal priest had posed for some of the book’s pics when he was 23.

Becoming a Man: Half a Life Story, 1992, Paul Monette memoir. Life on both sides of the closet door. In my small town the only gay men I knew of were objects of scorn and ridicule. Without gay mentors and examples, Paul's book was a self-help text. I had to hide this book like it was porn.
