But running away was never an option. I had made up my mind to save those people. I didn't know if it was a sign of sentimentality, or just my doctor's mindset, but I did know that the moment I gave up on that decision would be the moment I stopped being myself.

This is for me?” Z: “Yeah” Panel 2 has Usopp looking smug going on a ramble about how the gift was made, only stopped by zoro telling him to “just get to the point” Usopp stares at him angrily and after a pause continues: “…anyways, with my amazing show-stopping talent we made you-“ 3rd panel Usopp: “-this!” Chopper is staring at the open box, 3 shiny earrings made for antlers inside of it Panel 4 At Choppers silence the boys get nervous U:”If it’s too small we can uhm…resize it- (whisper) Zoro i think you screwed up” Zoro sighs while scratching his neck “yeah…” Panel 5: “Maybe i got it wron-“ Zoro is cut mid sentence, Chopper leaping and making him and usopp fall to the floor Next panel has Chopper wearing the earrings in one of his antlers, smiling and teary eyed laying on top of the boys “This doesn’t make me happy at all you bastards” “Now im as cool as you Zoro!”

SORRY TO BUTT IN but this is literally what i’m experiencing while reading 😭 for a guy who whines and complains that he might be caught being NICE it’s incredible how often he thinks about just wanting to help and save people like his parents—n-not to be a good person or anything! just for pride 🙄
