I am sure everyone has figured it out, but part of why Trump is causing this trade war is that he gets great pleasure out of being cruel. He is like an arsonist sticking around to watch the fire he started. As John Bolton, said: "Trump is ... petty, vindictive, and simplistic".

For my history buffs, Elon Musk is the Cromwell to Trump's Henry VIII. And a similar fallout will happen, Musk will (at least figuratively) find himself beheaded.

I understand the sensitive nature of the situation, but I can't help thinking it would have been nice if Merrick Garland and the DOJ had moved a little more quickly than a glacial pace.
