I am sure everyone has figured it out, but part of why Trump is causing this trade war is that he gets great pleasure out of being cruel. He is like an arsonist sticking around to watch the fire he started. As John Bolton, said: "Trump is ... petty, vindictive, and simplistic".

I’m having great difficulty right now seeing how our political system doesn’t devolve into violence.

From an FDA probationary employee: the firings are coming from outside the agency without cause and with zero input from supervisors (as promised.) More firings expected between now and Tuesday. Do not open the termination email before you download your documents and performance evals.

For my history buffs, Elon Musk is the Cromwell to Trump's Henry VIII. And a similar fallout will happen, Musk will (at least figuratively) find himself beheaded.

Trudeau should name Benton Fraser (Paul Gross' character from "Due South) as our border czar and see how long it takes Trump to realize that he isn't a real RCMP officer.

By pulling out of the WHO, Trump has made China more influential and powerful on the global stage. Great start to that "American golden age" he stammered about.

Joe Biden has issued sweeping pardons for Dr. Fauci, Gen. Milley, and the January 6 Committee members, not because they have committed any crimes, but because he knows Trump will seek revenge on them. Congratulations, America, you have elected a petty thug to lead your nation.

The one reason right wing political parties are doing well globally right now is that they have found a partner in the media that amplifies their messages. Like it or not, truth no longer matters, perception does.

Other than being mad about silly things like bike lanes and carbon pricing, does the CPC have a platform?

The Flat Earth crowd are in for a bad few months. They haven't made any traction here, and Twitter is owned by the CEO of SpaceX.

@davidpakman.bsky.social I was wondering what your thoughts are about The Guardian announcing that it is leaving Twitter/X?

@mrjamesob.bsky.social I am listening to mystery hour from yesterday, and the meerkat question reminds me of the "dead Paul McCartney" conspiracy. Many people claim John says "I buried Paul" on "Strawberry Fields Forever", but he actually says "Cranberry Sauce".

When Trump's policies hurt his supporters, do we think they will admit they made a mistake?

I understand the sensitive nature of the situation, but I can't help thinking it would have been nice if Merrick Garland and the DOJ had moved a little more quickly than a glacial pace.

@legaleagle.bsky.social First, let me say I really enjoy your work, big fan.
Does Biden's plan to limit SCOTUS terms stand a chance? Leaving aside the partisan Congress, aren't the terms set by the Constitution?
