Like, I can’t help but wonder if he has a bucket list of dictatorial ideas and accomplishments he’s trying to cross off before he dies and he doesn’t have that much time left. Hence the hasty cruelty and blatant inhumanity.

This is actually exactly what Trump is trying to do. To cause an uprising to occur so he can have legitimate grounds to invoke martial law. But he can’t do that as long as the protests are peaceful and the casualties minimal and he knows it. So he’s pulling the stops to make war happen.
