These are made by slicing potatoes thinly enough to be rolled up, but thick enough to hold up to cooking. I’m guessing some trial and error before cooking this for others is a good idea.

I’ll sit in your kitchen and consume the tasty errors.

Two waxed bags in a cardboard box.

I may have a false memory of potato chips being sold this way. A false memory or I’m old.

I warned you Potato Pete was straight up creepy.

Just me?

Potato Pete was a US war office campaign to conserve wheat during WWII.

This is Pete being annoyingly enthusiastic, rather than straight up creepy which he was on other pages.

A photo of my local chipper, from the distant past.

Doesn’t look so different now, but I’d bet the chips cut in the shop were much better back then.

UK folks, are these crisps as good as advertised? Or a triumph of marketing over content?

Two of my favourite things, street art and fish and chips.

Ziggy’s
Carlisle Street
Balaclava

Classic crinkle cut chips, just enough salt, perfect with a burger.

This lunch deal is just 13 bucks, including a drink.

Does anyone else recall the crinkle cut chips at Golden Fleece roadhouses?

A fond memory, with a real milkshake in the huge aluminium beaker.

I’m sorry I can’t credit the photographer for this image, I’ve no idea where it came from.

It nicely sums up my addiction to fried potato.

My local Maccas fails on fries quality every time.

The only use for this fry is as the before photo in a dick pills advertisement.
