Luke Victor of KKTV in Colorado Springs told ChatGPT to generate a map of Colorado counties. This was the result. A mess.

All the county names are made up except for "Adams" which is shown along the New Mexico border, rather than next to Denver, Park, which is shown where Garfield County is on the Western Slope, and Yuma, which is south of where it should be. The boundaries for Denver County are drawn incorrectly and leave Denver International Airport as a small area not connected to any other "county". Most county names are nonsense names: Mardooes, Grab, Gumsy, Verry, Unjoncento, Yqutock, Hartsmlo, Enlced, Chlp, Bill, Delrise, Guftnn, Sout, Csas, Do. There is a county named "County". A few letters are deformed. There are two "Costilla" counties shown. There are actually none. The name of the state, through some miracle actually spelled correctly as "Colorado", is in larger type below the map.

Better chance of reception at my east-side location than the typical Lookout Mountain translator; just a bit of noise. Program material is in mono; is that intentional? It's good to have more choices.

The weather map on 9News, KUSA in Denver, is seriously out of whack: (1) Omaha is where Des Moines is (2) St. Louis is in southern Indiana rather than eastern Missouri (3) Kansas City floats somewhere above central Nebraska (4) Minneapolis creeps up on Duluth. Screenshot is from Wednesday night.

Denver's clear-channel KOA marks its 100th anniversary this week. This photo, from a GE publication titled "Spanning the Continent", shows the original site at 1370 Krameria, from which KOA went on the air December 15, 1924. It's moved a couple of times since and there's now a Safeway on this site.
