£21.5million versatile player agrees to sign for Manchester United – Journalist
VALENCIA, SPAIN - FEBRUARY 02: Javi Guerra of Valencia CF celebrates scoring his team's second goal during the LaLiga match between Valencia CF and RC Celta de Vigo at Estadio Mestalla on February 02, 2025 in Valencia, Spain. (Photo by Aitor Alcalde/Getty Images) Manchester United have been linked with a plethora of players this summer across various positions but so far, they have wrapped up only two deals – Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon. The Red Devils are closing in on signing Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford. The club have been behind the Cameroonian international for a while now, looking to reach an agreement with Brentford to bring him to Old Trafford. **News –**Man Utd ready to offer near £30million asking price to sign midfielder – Report Now that they have effectively closed that deal, it might be time to move to other targets. One other player Man Utd are said to have an agreement with this summer is Valencia midfield star Javi Guerra. We covered a story a few days ago, as per journalist Daniele Longo, that the Red Devils were close to signing the £21.5million player. Now, as per the same Calciomercato journalist, Javi Guerra is not considering a renewal with La Liga club Valencia and the versatile midfielder is waiting on his agreement with Man Utd. However, the Red Devils need to reach a club-to-club agreement with the Spanish club. ### A versatile midfield presence The 22-year-old Spaniard is a versatile midfield presence, capable of playing as a #6, #8 and a #10 and he has the technical ability that personifies La Roja midfielders. He has been one of the better players of Valencia for some time now. One thing that immediately strikes you about Javi Guerra is his intelligence. He has brilliant spatial awareness, which might be what makes him play in multiple positions, and his ability on the ball makes him a very solid base midfielder to build the team around. At Man Utd, Guerra can play in multiple positions. He can replace one of Casemiro or Manuel Ugarte in defensive midfield but can also play as an attacking midfielder if there is a necessity. For Ruben Amorim, he provides a lot of tactical flexibility. Although AC Milan is another club interested in the player, it does feel at this point that Man Utd are ahead in the race for Javi Guerra. It remains to be seen how things play out on this front and if the Spaniard wears a Red Devils jersey next season.

Man Utd ready to offer near £30million asking price to sign midfielder – Report
ISTANBUL, TURKEY - JUNE 1: Gabriel Sara of Galatasaray celebrates victory during the Turkish Super League match between Galatasaray and Basaksehir on June 1, 2025 in Istanbul, Turkey. (Photo by Ahmad Mora/Getty Images) Manchester United have been focussed almost exclusively on the attacking positions in the transfer market so far but having effectively closed deals for Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, it looks like the club have started to venture other positions. The midfield is a very interesting position for the Red Devils to analyze this summer. **News –**Report – Man Utd agree £110million terms in fee and wages to sign star While there is depth in terms of numbers in this area, the concern for Ruben Amorim this summer would be the quality that the available options can provide. The Portuguese tactician did manage to resurrect Casemiro’s career to an extent last season, but he might want another midfield option who could provide competition to Manuel Ugarte. Now, as per Turkish outlet Aksam, Man Utd want to sign Galatasaray midfielder, Gabriel Sara. The Turkish club are asking for around £30m to part ways with him this summer, but Man Utd are now willing to offer around £26.1m to secure his signature. ### Should Man Utd sign Gabriel Sara? With the gap in valuation not a big one, this should be a deal that they can get over the line, eventually. The Brazilian midfielder dazzled in the 2024–25 season for the Turkish Super Lig club, scoring 2 goals and providing 10 assists in 45 outings across all competitions. He emerged as Galatasaray’s chief creator and set-piece specialist. Gabriel Sara is no stranger to English football, having played for Norwich in the Championship previously. The Brazilian was a key figure, tallying 21 goals and 17 assists in 96 games, demonstrating his adaptability and resilience in English football’s tough environments. United’s midfield overhaul continues under Amorim, seeking agility, creativity, and goal threat. Sara’s blend of goal contributions and deep-lying playmaking makes him the perfect fit, especially at the price that he is available at. At 26, Sara is at the perfect age to make a move to a club like Man Utd to take his career to the next level. It remains to be seen if the Red Devils push ahead to finalize the deal for the Brazilian midfielder.

Confirmed XI: Cunha & Leon make United debuts against Leeds at Strawberry Arena, Stockholm
Manchester United take on Leeds United in the first pre-season match of the summer ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League season, which will see Leeds return to the English Top Flight, before their ultimate relegation at the end of the season. Everyone despises Leeds. Ruben Amorim has made one summer signing so far this summer with Matheus Cunha signing for the club from Wolverhampton Wanderers. Diego Leon has also returned from loan following his signing during the January transfer window. United need more reinforcement this summer. **Manchester United** Bayindir; Mazraoui, De Ligt, Shaw; Amad, Casemiro, Collyer, Leon; Fernandes, Cunha; Obi **Substitutes** Heaton, Mee, Dalot, Dorgu, Fredricson, Heaven, Kukonki, Maguire, Munro, Yoro, J. Fletcher, Kone, Mainoo, Mount, Ugarte, Hojlund, Mantato, Williams **Leeds United** Darlow; Bogle, Rodon, Bijol, Byram; Ampadu, Gruev; Gnonto, Harrison, Tanaka; Nmecha **Substitutes** United have a great record against Leeds, winning 50, drawing 37 and losing 26 of the 113 matches they have played competitively. This is not the first time that United have faced Leeds in pre-season – United beat Leeds 2-0 at the Ullevaal Stadium in Norway two years ago. Six years ago United beat Leeds 4-0 at the Optus Stadium in Perth, Australia, which would have been hard to swallow for Leeds. United are undefeated in seven matches against Leeds in competitive matches going back to the 1-0 FA Cup defeat back in 2010. **_Written by Paul_** ## About the Author #### editor Administrator I support Manchester United, the greatest English football team to have ever existed. Report – Man Utd agree £110million terms in fee and wages to sign star
Manchester United are finally go complete the signing of Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford much to the delight of the Old Trafford faithful. If reports in the media are anything to by then Man Utd have agreed terms worth £110million in fee and wages to sign Mbeumo. **News –**Deal close – £22m+ player ‘about’ to secure move to Manchester United As per a story published by The Mirror today, the Old Trafford club have reached an agreement over a fee of £71million to lure the African attacker. They will pay the Bees £65million fixed and the remaining £6million in objectives to finally land their target in the next couple of days. After multiple offers were turned down, Brentford finally accepted £71million and now, the 25-year-old will undergo a medical this weekend. Mbeumo will sign a contract with Man Utd that will make him earn £150,000 a week, £39million in the next five years. The Red Devils have now recruited two attacking players, who were brilliant in the last Premier League campaign. Cunha directly contributed in 21 goals in the league, on the other hand, Mbeumo directly contributed in 28 goals. So, combined, they contributed in 49 goals, whereas, Man Utd only found the net 44 times in the league last term. Amorim likes to use a 3-4-2-1 system and it will not come as any surprise to see Mbeumo and Cunha start in the RCAM and LCAM positions. Now, to complete the set, United should push to sign a clinical goal scorer next as the likes of Hojlund and Zirkzee are just not good enough. In your opinion, who should Man Utd sign after Mbeumo to reinforce the No.9 position at Old Trafford?

Deal close – £22m+ player ‘about’ to secure move to Manchester United
LIVERPOOL, ENGLAND - JANUARY 15: Emiliano Martínez of Aston Villa during the Premier League match between Everton FC and Aston Villa FC at Goodison Park on January 15, 2025 in Liverpool, England. (Photo by Gareth Copley/Getty Images) Manchester United and Ruben Amorim have a lot of work to do with the squad to bring them to a competitive level, but they don’t have long left until the 2025/26 season starts. Such reinforcements could also include a new goalkeeper. The Portuguese tactician didn’t seem to have complete faith in goalkeeper Andre Onana last season. **News –**£77.5m star now prepared to sign for Manchester United – Report The Cameroonian was left out of the matchday squad for a couple of games last campaign and he made mistakes when it mattered the most. Thus, it would make sense for Man Utd to make a move for a new shot-stopper. Now, as per Argentine source Clarin, the Red Devils are now ‘about’ to wrap up the signing of talented Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez. Signing the World Cup winner would be a huge coup for the 20-time English champions. Man Utd are likely to have to spend slightly more than Emi’s £22m release clause in his contract but that is certainly a fair price for a player of his calibre. Emi Martinez was visibly emotional after Aston Villa’s last home game of the 2024/25 season, hinting that it could have been his last appearance at Villa Park. Barcelona were interested in signing him this summer but eventually settled on Joan Garcia. Various Saudi clubs and Galatasaray also wanted to sign the serial national champion, but Man Utd is arguably the biggest club that has realistically looked to sign him. Now that the deal is in the final stages, Ruben Amorim should be content. Ahead of a World Cup year for which Emi Martinez would want to be competing at the highest level and be firing at his best, there is no better place to do it than Old Trafford. The Man Utd squad is crying out for a defensive leader like the 32-year-old. Should they pull off this signing, it would instantly make them 1.5 times better than they currently are. It remains to be seen if Manchester United get this deal over the line and announce Emiliano Martinez as the new goalkeeper in the coming days.

£77.5m star now prepared to sign for Manchester United – Report
WOLFSBURG, GERMANY - APRIL 11: Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig applauds the fans after defeating VfL Wolfsburg during the Bundesliga match between VfL Wolfsburg and RB Leipzig at the Volkswagen Arena on April 11, 2025 in Wolfsburg, Germany. (Photo by Stuart Franklin/Getty Images) Manchester United desperately need a new striker to lead the line this summer, after the inconsistent form shown by young Dane Rasmus Hojlund over the past couple of seasons. The Red Devils simply cannot afford to have another poor season. One of Man Utd’s biggest issues last season was the fact that, with the exception of captain Bruno Fernandes, no one else contributed to scoring goals regularly. **News –**Blow for Man Utd – Liverpool agree terms to sign £79.8million target – Report Amad Diallo was quite decent, to be fair, but his injury took some sheen off what was turning out to be a brilliant season. Now, as per Give Me Sport, talented RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko is willing to sign for Manchester United this summer. The Slovenian striker is widely regarded as one of the best young number nines going around and one with a very high ceiling in the game. The Bundesliga clubs understand how prized an asset they have in their ranks and this reflects in their asking price, which stands at £77.5m. It is a significant outlay for any club to make but from a long-term perspective, it makes a lot of sense. Other number nines that Man Utd have been linked with in recent times include Aston Villa star Ollie Watkins and Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson. What those two have that Sesko doesn’t, yet, in his career. is Premier League experience. ## Sesko vs Watkins vs Jackson However, Watkins, despite his proven quality in the top-flight, is 29 years old and will represent a short-term bet at best. On the other hand, Jackson is still young, has played for Chelsea, but is similar to Rasmus Hojlund in the fact that he is an average finisher at best. Sesko, on the other hand, is a much bigger gamble, due to his asking price. That said, he is also the player who has the highest upside, and in terms of pure talent, he has the best chance to become a long-term, consistent goalscorer for Man Utd. It remains to be seen if Man Utd are willing to pay that much money to sign a number nine this summer, having just forked out £70m to sign Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford. The next few weeks should give a clearer picture on how things play out.
