Teachers sign away their first amendment rights and consent to be monitored irl and on social media at all times. And the only people monitoring and limiting a teachers free speech, are Christian nationalist republicans. (Part 12)

Imagine being a teacher that gets fired for showing up to your own school board meeting to protest against something like making students read the Bible, and you get fired for that. But we dont actually have to imagine that… because similar versions of that scenario happen ALL the time. (Part 8)

Let’s be clear: This is all retribution for speech used OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM DURING A TEACHER’S FREE TIME. Regardless of whether that speech exists online, or in a public forum, even speech not used at school around students is prohibited. (Part 7)

Teachers possess critical testimony in the conversation about the future of public schools in the US, and those who seek to destroy the public school system want to stifle and bury that testimony so deep no one dares to try and speak out for fear of losing their jobs and their livelihoods. Teachers are stripped of their right to free speech and a seat at the table, even though they are the most fundamental witnesses to what goes on in public schools. (Part 4)

The loudest extremist republicans have created a system where teachers who recognize and publicly protest the injustices towards our students are punished, exiled from their community, and professionally ruined. (Part 3)

And the ones that aren’t, most of them are so intimidated and scared of ruining their career that they’ll fire any teacher that exercises their first amendment rights to speak out AGAINST the republicans, Christian nationalism, and their coordinated attack on public school. (Part 2)
