Funny thing is most of the time spammers spoof a number from the same area code as my number, but I’ve barely lived in that area code since I was 18, so I usually do answer calls from the area code I live in now. It for sure catches people off guard who are braced for the answering machine lol

The spam I get leaves messages! It’s the same goddamn one over and over saying they need additional personal information for the loan I applied for! Frankly, I respect the angle, but I hate having to delete them so my VM box doesn’t fill up lol

Which leads to an important point that the post Jane quoted is missing: the vast majority of porn isn’t a representation of healthy sexuality. A lot of it is framed to be exploitative/abusive.

I get enough spam calls to go insane, 6-8 a day that get past the iPhone spam filter, similarly I can’t imagine how many calls people who have a public number get, like real estate agents and the like
