@cillacat.bsky.social I used to sneer at people who posted pics of their cats. Then a couple of rescues acquired us and things have changed a bit.

@lydiam.bsky.social And seeing you’re interested in cats, this is Moonlight. She has a piano sonata named after her.

We had a holiday in Fort William in May. Here’s a couple of pics.

@guitarnut.bsky.social Followed you back because your profile looks interesting. You’ll get science, classical music, a little astronomy and ascerbic political assertions. Oh, and cats. Let’s not forget cats.

Gotta love York
October 10, 2025 at 10:48 AM
Fine city, York. Especially now the Vikings have been ejected, the Plage has been overcome and the Wars of the Roses are (more or less) over. Well, you can get a train to Manchester.

Haven’t seen a post from you in a while. Perhaps I’m just a bit inattentive. Pleased to see she’s ok. Moonlight sends 💕

Anyone know what sort of spider this is? Body is 2.5cm long. In a garden near you in North Kent.
August 9, 2025 at 9:01 AM
One little spider, perfectly backlit by the afternoon sun and waiting patiently in the middle of the most beautiful web for a nice juicy fly.

There’s one in my GP surgery. He’s a little more glitzy, though 😊

Felis catus. The domestic cat. Common or garden tabby, in the sense that they’re often found on common land and in gardens. This particular specimen is doing some filing.

I’ve just invented a new unit of measurement. I’m calling it the “Cat Equivalent”. As in “I have just removed two cat equivalents of hair from the armchair”🙄
