For the times that mix of the two went bad, do you think that a case could be made that Biology was interpreted a certain way in order to justify a specific philosophy?

As a former young earth creationist, I think that there is a direct correlation between bad biology and bad philosophy.

I’m getting through TNG for the first time, and DS9 is next on my list.

Season 2, episode 9, The Measure of a Man, is by far my favorite episode so far.
