I'm holding up two hardcover books for the camera to see: one is the collected edition of the comic book BATMAN 89. The other is the newly released novel BATMAN: RESURRECTION, both of which are continuations of Tim Burton's original two Batman movies.

In my 20s, I had a roommate aggressively yell at me - in front of his kid & our other roommate, which somehow made it worse - about a piece of garbage I had left out on the living room table (not remembering it was mine), and I started crying and retreated to my bedroom.

It was an ALL NOSTALGIA birthday for me, between ordering dinner from our favorite Puerto Rican restaurant (borikenrestaurant.com ) and getting a Carvel ice cream cake.

@witchwater.bsky.social even got candy letters to put on the cake. Of course, a few letters shattered, so she had to improvise...

Well... if it helps ease the load of that ol' Infinity Stone of sadness, you're not alone in feeling the pain of a lost dream. And sometimes the dream you thought was lost has just... changed shape? Evolved? I dunno if this is helpful.

The whole thing is a big metaphor for our connections with other people enabling us to bear the weight of our own struggles a little easier.
