While it is very easy to see the Met Gala as a form of unnecessary excess or make jokes about the Hunger Games, the event directly funds public arts and provides resources for a preservation of history that comes with its own unique challenges, never mind fashion being undervalued as an art form

I'm a big fan of Ebberon, where the major pantheon is not guaranteed to exist. The gods may not be real, and divine magic is expressly a matter of faith. Faith can also exist outside of gods, the Blood of Vol, for example, keep faith that divinity exists within a person and their soul.

I personally find it a bit more interesting for my clerics when their faith is tied to the domain the god serves than to the god itself. A cleric finds its tie to the god of truth, not because they have any love for the god, but because they believe that truth itself is a universal concept.

Clerics, on the other hand, grow their magic through faith and belief. It can be purposeful but can also be very inate. That faith can be very direct towards a god, and thus, the story can center around the relationship between the god and the cleric as individuals, but that's also a warlock.

Sorcerers, to me, are very much superheroes. Having power thrust upon them, their inate magic strengthened. The power itself is something they have to come to terms with, a gift they themselves did not nessisary need or want.

Wizards and artificers build their magic through experimentation, testing gestures, and incantations, and seeing how the magic in and around them reacts. Druids, on the other hand, learn through observation, watching the magic of the world, and learn to tap in and mimic it.

I've always liked the idea in DND that magic is everywhere across the world, and thus a part of everyone, and the classes are just a matter of how you harness it.
