There is value in having hobbies that do not contribute to your income. Just because you make cool things doesn’t mean you should start selling on Etsy. Doing things because it’s fun is a fine goal.

I feel like the difference between sewing now and sewing in my 20s is recognizing that my body is telling me I’m done and stopping while my shoulders are tense rather waiting until I physically can’t keep going.
