Chicago dog kind of night. Vienna nuclear green relish, sport peppers, sauerkraut, tomato wedges, yellow mustard, celery salt, steamed poppy seed bun. The only thing not Chicago are the Nathan’s beef dogs.

Warmed up a bit, 50. So we got a long walk in the arb. Didn’t see any northern lights, but it still felt like a fire would be nice , so got one lit. Much snuggles.

Tried the sourdough in a Pullman pan. Squared up for nice sandwich slices. Interested to see the crumb after it’s cooked. And a massive pot of Ukrainian bograch beef stew that should last all week!

Gala pie unveiled, Sliced well, good egg placement, good spice level on the pork, crust yummy and buttery, all delicious with the piccalilli. The veg on the side may look sad as it was simmered with soy sauce, tastes good, looks less vibrant. #GBBO

Minced too much pork for the gala pie so fried the leftover in patty balls, over basmati rice, kimchi, some overeasy eggs fried in the pork fat with runny yolks, some Japanese bbq sauce and chives on top. Yummers.

Went to the Yoko Ono exhibit at the Chicago MCA. Feels very contemporary and has event and grounded and timely. The shattering of agreed upon reality and the power of the mind to create.
