The states don’t but this is literally a federal grant program meant to combat that and build research in these states. There are tons of great scientists in these states who care about research, want to educate their peers in these states, and they shouldn’t lose funding

We do in higher education… these are universities and losing education in these states helps no one

This behavior was accompanied by reduced amygdala recruitment. I am currently working on a big ol' manuscript that will hopefully add some mechanistic understanding of these findings!

We've previously described altered fear extinction in a model of severe asthma accompanied by increased IL17a in the brain and increased IL recruitment. Here, we used a model of mild/moderate asthma and found no immune changes in the brain and reduced freezing during extinction.
