It’s almost as if to move to the right, towards authoritarianism, you abandon what it means to be human.

Think of the far rights marches where Nazis will dress in khakis and a black shirt with a mask and a Nazi flag vs the current left leaning protest with bright colors and memes and music and paintings.

Societies where authoritarianism is expressed are drab and without art, think the dark ages where kings ruled over people and we find very little humanity. It’s apparent that when society is embracing freedom and pushing for humanity to be a priority we see all forms of art flourish.
