I’ve always had trans mates since the early 90s, when I was in the first lived experience pilot. It was seen as a threat, and we were utterly loathed, with the whole hospital waiting for us to break down (which, of course, happened). A trans nurse became our one ally. Difference supports difference.

‘Wes Streeting to unveil plans for portable medical records’ Very mixed feelings about this, can see many benefits and huge potential for misuse with disastrous consequences. My view is the patient needs to have granular control of all the information accessible by others. Major privacy concerns.
