ugh. so sorry. our family just took an amazing trip to Belize, and the plastic waste problem was so palpable. we did a beach cleanup to help be at least part of the solution and on every snorkel tour, i filled my mesh dive gear bag with plastic waste.

This seems more promising than SMRs or rebooting old nukes... The key thing is that they don't rob Peter to pay Paul. In so far as society needs more data centers, they need to be powered by NEW renewables, not projects already planned for other users of the grid to get their energy from.

i really wish they allowed you to opt-in to the AI search, instead of making it the default... the AI generated content is often wrong and so much more energy intensive. I get to choose what kind of car I drive. I want to choose how energy intensive my search is too.
