because it is a descriptivist scientific theory. That is: it comes from the intention of accepting and DESCRIBING the human experiences and phenomena in question, not prescribing a convenient model onto what is observed, & by extension the model for how society ought to approach trans people.

But Scientific theory is concerned with understanding the objective world and the pursuit of truth. The current prevailing theory of gender in science comes from a pursuit for the truth on this matter.

Political theories & cultural ideas come & go, but scientific theories that hold up to scrutiny are generally true whether people are aware of it or not. And it sticks around as long as society listens to science

Communism, fascism etc... are chiefly concerned with how to organize society & wealth

It is fundamentally a scientific theory of the fields of psychology and biology, being first out forward by the Institut für Sexualwissenschaft in the 1930s. And it has stood the test of time and a great deal of skepticism.

So called "Gender Ideology" is not a political theory though. The understanding that gender identity and biological sex are distinct attributes of a person and that they do not always align with each other has nothing to do with what ideas are in vogue or not.
