I don’t think I’m going to be reading this one. I tried to read Mirror, Mirror- Maguire’s retelling of Snow White but with Lucretia Borgia as the wicked stepmother. Sounds great, right? Wrong. It was boring and I found his writing style confusing. If he biffed that there’s no way this mess is for me

I really enjoy Robert Aickman. The Wine Dark Sea and Cold Hand in Mine are my two favorites of his.

Also DuMaurier’s Don’t Look Now, my favorite story being Not After Midnight
