Just went into Target to buy a standing lamp, a 7’ long area rug runner, chewing gum, and greeting cards. Found cards (20 mins), left cart to use the restroom. Cart and cards disappeared. No rug. No lamp. What’s happened to Target?

For those of us over 60 (cough “70”) the most important quality we value in our primary care practitioner is how well he or she knows us. When our PCP retires after 30-plus years of familiarity and care, we are lost souls wandering in a desert of unfamiliar docs, NPs, PAs, and others.

I was a very lucky educator: I earned an undergraduate degree in radio-TV, master’s degree in drama, and a third major in English and somehow found a way to teach all three in secondary education.
