I learned it because I kept hearing that it’s the easiest way to purl if you knit continental style. I quickly changed to continental. I was only about 2 days in to knitting for the first time. It was an easy switch. Lol

I agree! It does make it more special. It’s one of my favorites.

Are you going to add this into your final project? I’m pondering doing a twisted square for mine just for the giggles of it. 🤭

Oh!! 🤣 now I totally understand what happened. I see it too! Funny.

Thank you for your mistake. It’s helping in the learning process. I’m sure I will repay the favor several times over. 😅

😂 welcome to the curly club! Idk. I thought it looked good though. But if it’s twisted… I guess a redo is in order.

The first stitch of the row isn’t knit or purled. You just slide it directly from one needle to the other needle as is. Then begin your knit or purl row as you normally would.

Continuing rows. Ugh. Where’s the edit function?! lol
December 5, 2024 at 4:55 AM
I read they’re slightly different??
Seed is K1, P1 to end of row and
Moss is K2, P2 to end of row. (Alternating the stitches for the counting rows.)

Okay. I’ll try that method too. Thank you! ❣️

Awe 🫢 so cute.

I mean slip the stitch not drop the stitch! I wish we could edit on this app. It’s a function I use often. 😅
December 5, 2024 at 4:27 AM
Oh no! I meant to say “slip” the first stitch. Not drop it. So much new lingo swimming around in my mind. lol

I just slide it to the opposite needle without knit or purling it.

My Stockinette Stitch curled at the ends. I read about dropping the first stitch of each row to prevent curling and helping with a neater edge. I’m going to try that this week too. #knittingsquare

Interesting. I have a friend who is a lefty knitter. Investigations begin. 🔎
