An underseen great in this category is Charlie Victor Romeo, a film of a play that re-enacts several black box transcripts of plane crashes; it’s findable on Mubi and elsewhere.

If you haven't seen it, there's a fascinating movie called Charlie Victor Romeo based on the transcripts of air crews during various fatal and nonfatal air accidents. It's the filmed version of a play that has been used for training by a number of different organizations.

I recently watched Charlie Victor Romeo, based on a play that uses transcripts of black box records of plane disasters. There’s no attempt to make it look “real.” It’s a play on film. Totally nerve-wracking. But I agree, it takes special talent to film a play.
