A curious Tuesday from the Kākāpō, one of the world’s most ancient bird species, inhabiting New Zealand for millions of years. A nocturnal, flightless parrot, that can live up to 125 years. Only 18 Kākāpō existed in 1970s. Thanks to conservation efforts, Kākāpō have grown to 208 in 2020.
