We can't rely on grants or advertising. Who would want to invest money, much less advertise next to texts about torture? We can only rely on people who think our work is important. And right now, we really need help.

But I really believe that this is the most important thing to know about Russia. I am so tired, but I am sure that this work cannot be stopped.

We understand Russian courts better than anyone else. We write about it faster and more accurately than anyone else.

And it's damn hard. Every day we face unfair trials, torture, ruined lives. It's impossible to get used to it.

The whole week I write news from Russian courts, broadcast onlines from there, transcribe speeches of the repressed. Nights and on weekends I write long texts, which cannot be quickly compiled between court sessions (for example, if i need to read a million volumes of a criminal case).

To be honest, Gorinov looks very bad. But he was trying his best to stay cheerful today and did not complain about his health or the conditions of detention.

Very, very scared for him

The next hearing is scheduled for tomorrow, although Gorinov asked not make hearings daily — he is sitting in a transit pretrial detention center, he will be in a cell only at night, and therefore he will not have time to eat or rest. He won't have dinner today or breakfast tomorrow.

Their testimonies are totally identical. But both say that the investigator did not prompt them how to give evidence, and there was no wiretapping on them. Judge even didn’t let Gorinov to ask if they knew about the wiretapping)))

The second was Nikolai Medvedev. He also lied and also received a reward from the colony for provoking Gorinov. In court he refused to answer, why he was convicted (for the third time already), but we found out that it was for rape

These two bastard cellmates were interrogated in court today. The first was Pavel Britikov, convicted of robbery. He was confused in his testimony, lied, but after provoking Gorinov he received a reward from the prison administration. Now he is free, came to court himself

Gorinov tried to give an anti-war speech and — despite the fact that the judge was very much in the way — almost finished it

Link to a post from my online-report with Gorinov's story about the provocation of the colony administration: zona.media/online/2024/...

They got a TV with 24-hour propaganda and neighbors to his cell in the prison hospital, who led him to discuss the war in Ukraine

Gorinov, of course, heard about the last exchange of political prisoners. And even heard that Ilya Yashin is now making a lot of efforts to get him out of the colony. But he does not believe in exchange :(

From the first days in the colony, they tried to destroy Gorinov’s health (he is 63 years old) and refused medical assistance.

Gorinov’ve not wanted to complain today, but at first he casually mentioned that «there is nothing to treat him with».

Now «the girl became aggressive, sad, and ate poorly». The girl's father told that he «threw out all the things» that Zibrova left for her daughter and «begged for new money all over the town». He also stopped taking his daughter to extracurricular activities.

Today the court upheld the five-year sentence for anti-war posts by Anastasia Zibrova. Her six-year-old daughter was given to her father, a Russian soldier.

«She was placed with complete strangers because her father had never been involved in her life before», — Zibrova said in court.
