Only that even regulated capitalism is objectively better than un regulated capitalism

It's only inferiority is that it discourages foreign investors

I'm not a marxist leninist, I hate them more than you do
March 10, 2025 at 7:11 PM
notice that Labour in the UK and the SPD are both pro-austerity neoliberals instead of social democratic parties now? it's because they've been bought by investors to whom they are now beholden

Sorry, not investors, "donators"
March 10, 2025 at 7:07 PM
the problem being that with capital accumulation even in social democracies at a certain point you reach a threshold in which the capital class has enough wealth to essentially buy parties that were formerly stewards of the welfare state

As if every free market hasn't also imploded in on itself unless bailed out by INCREDIBLY SOCIALIST STATE INTERVENTION such as BAILOUTS *lighting cracks in the distance*

I'm not a Marxist-Leninist. Many ideological strains of Marxism don't follow the doctrine of Marxism-Leninism, which was invented by Stalin and is sometimes therefore called Stalinism, with continued variants including Mao Zedong thought and Jucheism.

I myself am a Councilist Marxist.
March 10, 2025 at 6:49 PM
Marx even wrote about this.

So, they moved from State Capitalism to Free Market capitalism to successfully develop their economy and surpass the quality of life of their main competitors (which they have). So they could successfully transition to socialism, which they've begun to do.
March 10, 2025 at 6:31 PM
Marx finished the Manifesto and several other works far, far longer than it. Ever heard of Das Kapital? Man, you're dense, huh?

China did this because it realized its attempt to move straight from feudalism to socialism couldn't work. You have to do capitalism before you can do socialism.
March 10, 2025 at 6:30 PM
You see capitalism and democracy as linked because the capital class uses bourgeois democratic politics to give people like you the sense that they control their destinies. They don't. Capitalists own you.

Socialists advocate for genuine democracy, which requires the death of capitalism.
March 10, 2025 at 6:27 PM
Social-democracy is not socialism because workers still do not control the means of production in social democracy, their bosses do.

Socialism must enforce the democratization of workspaces, the ability of workers to decide their pay, and to ensure they are not exploited.

Ceausescu was a fascist. If he'd lived to see the fall of communism, he'd have been a pure nationalist, a Putin-like figure. He only adhered to socialism because that was the order of the USSR, who only did so because that was the dogma they had been educated to parrot but never uphold.
March 10, 2025 at 6:24 PM
They expelled the section of their party that was doing this shit and they formed their own, completely worthless party in the Bundestag. Die Linke is now basically just a Labour Party of the early 20th century.

You're either very uninformed, or you're being intentionally disingenuous.
March 10, 2025 at 6:23 PM
Political power? in Soviet Communist states? No.

Economic power? somewhat? but also no, ultimately the party made the choices as to what went on in workplaces, not workers.

That's why it was a state capitalist system, not a genuine communist system or even socialist.
March 10, 2025 at 6:18 PM
They had a state capitalist economy
March 10, 2025 at 6:16 PM
Some communists have been brainwashed by Russian propaganda to think that the (real and concerning) Ukrainian affinity for Banderite aesthetics means Ukraine is inherently fascist, and that intervention is necessary. I am not one of them. Ukraine is a liberal republic.
