A bit of #dragon sketches for #smaugust
Digital colored sketches of some dragons for smaugust made on procreate. Top left is a medieval manuscript inspired dragon, that’s body is blue with red wings and red and yellow accents. Top right is an arcane purple and pink dragon that’s inspired by a combo of a baby crocodilian and fire bellied newt/poison frog. Bottom left dragon is a more traditional horned dragon that’s got a green iguana inspired color scheme, leg shapes, and tail. Bottom right are busts of all 3 dragons showing different angles and smoke coming from their nostrils. Background is transparent.

Digital art made on procreate of an angry gorgonopsid(an ancient predatory animal from the Permian period, before dinosaurs). The animal was interrupted mid hunt, and now has its focus on the viewer. The foreground is out of focus, with only 2 ferns visible. The mid ground is the focus of the piece. The gorgonopsid faces left with one paw perched on a burrow. The head 3/4 turned toward the viewer, saber teeth beared, exaggerated angry eyebrows and a large exclamation mark showing that it’s been alerted. To the far left of the mid ground is an early conifer-type tree to help frame the focus of the piece toward the head of the gorgonopsid. The background is two hills or mountains(up to interpretation) with a valley lining up with the animal’s head, keeping the focus of the piece there.
