First post. My background:
Practically none ish, last year I started practicing D to A chord progression but lost motivation. Downloaded a couple of guitar apps but nothing worked.
Right now I’m trying to get started again! Feel free to give me any tips :)

Day 14 and 15
I’ve continued to do pinky strength training. Today I’m focusing on learning a new chord. I’m trying to figure out which position is best. It kinda feels better using all 4 fingers but I understand that using the index for the first two strings is preferred. Idk what do y’all think?

Had a little set back, something personal came up and instead of a 2 day break it had to be 3. Which is fine. Today I didn’t get home until very late but I still practiced for 5 minutes. Feel a little sad cause I started doing progress on my pinky but it’s okay! No harm done! Alls good 💜

Forgot to post day 12! I’m taking today off but yesterday I did something called a spider crawl. A colleague told me about it and sent me videos, hopefully this will help my pinky get strong.

Day 11: Pinky Training
I’ve hit a wall, the next chord I have to learn uses the pinky finger! She’s very weak and I couldn’t do it properly. I’m gonna implement some pinky training after my regular chord progression to strengthen it. So far I’m doing 10-25 sec holds in the first 3 strings.

Also I got used to practicing standing up. It feels so much comfortable now that I fixed my guitar strap! I actually find it uncomfortable to play sitting now! Crazy cause that’s how I started the first 5 days!

Almost forgot to post! I had to practice quickly because of chores (yawn!) and couldn’t record. Today I practiced my chord progression and man I wish I recorded because I did back to back near perfect chord progressions!!

I’m trying to play the song while standing up, it feels more comfortable. It’s fun how standing up vs sitting down is so different. I’m able to strum the guitar easier while sitting down compared to standing, but I’ll get the hang of it. ——>

Day 4: Amp problems
Today is supposed to be my break (fingies hurt, using medical tape). Had downtime so I hooked up my amp and I keep having issues with the 3rd string giving off this horrible noise in my amp.
Anyone know how to fix it? Should I take it to a professional?
