Meet the Flummoxagon, a new geometric puzzle game that might just leave you flummoxed. Imagine a mash-up of Pentominoes and Sudoku. Your goal is to fit all the pieces into the hexagon frame but there’s a twist, pieces of the same color can’t touch. n-e-r-v-o-u-s.com/blog/?p=9827

My daughter's favorite was the sea stars. We saw Ochre sea stars in purple and orange. But the purple is much more common. Scientists think the colors come from their diet (purple ones eat a lot of mussels) @echinoblog.bsky.social has an article on it: echinoblog.blogspot.com/2010/03/why-...

I think my favorite creature I saw was the worms! These feather duster worms use their plumage for respiration, filter feeding and sensing. If you disturb the water they quickly retract into their tubes

Apparently horseshoe crab compound eyes have around 1,000 light sensing units called "ommatidia." They have a conical shape as seen in this micrograph www.optica-opn.org/home/newsroo...
