If you hate a marginalized group, such as members of a certain race or the LGBTQ community, step back and ask yourself one simple question: "Why do I hate these people?" Take a deep dive into your motivations - you might be surprised by what you find.

So many people these days lack the ability to determine what is opinion and what is fact, what is subjective and what is objective.

The rise of mis- and disinformation makes teaching this ability to as many people as possible a task of utmost importance.

Placing blind faith in someone, without doing the research to see if that's a bad idea, is how Trump became president. Twice.

The far-right resort to trolling tactics, ad hominems and logical fallacies because they know that if their actions and beliefs were ever put under scrutiny, in a way that the layman could understand, they would lose all their power in a heartbeat.

Fox News and Newsmax make their money by telling their audience exactly what they want to hear. If given a choice between spinning a false narrative and committing to truth in journalism, they will always pick the former, since it nets more views. They are propaganda outlets, not news organizations.

To Trump supporters:

It's so easy to listen to him talk, isn't it? To keep agreeing with him and his allies, letting them think for you?

After all, it would be so painful to realize that the world isn't as black and white as you thought, and that your savior never cared about you.

Trump's really living up to his old catchphrase from The Apprentice. Y'know, because of all the firings?

Except he's firing all the useful people, leaving the one guy that doesn't know what he's doing but still wants to work for Trump.

That's not how a business or the government works.

Maybe if a whole bunch of people weren't money-grubbing bastards, this world would be a nicer place to live in.

Oh well, wishful thinking.

Protip: If a member of U.S. Congress tries to pass a law with the justification of "protecting children," they don't actually care about the kids. They're just trying to censor us and restrict our rights.

To all the politicians who think they can control us through fear, censorship, and tyranny: you have already lost. The United States is a nation built on diversity, freedom, and democracy.

Remember this: You are our elected representatives. You serve us, the people - not the other way around.

I’m seeing a lot of negative reviews on games along the lines of “this isn’t exactly what I wanted, even though it was exactly what was promised”.

I can’t overstate how much more joy you will have if you allow art to unfurl in front of you, instead of demanding it be what you imagine you want.

There’s no such thing as A.I “art.” It’s a soulless amalgamation of plagiarised data. That is the antithesis of art.
