I wish I could do something for my birthday with friends. Like a huge game night shin dig or have someone come over to hang out and we can play co-op games. But I don't have a lot of local friends and... like most years, I'm celebrating at the same time as my mom's bday.... again.

I kinda REALLY miss streaming every Friday. I just never know when the fuck I'll be home from work.

So I got my first paycheck for the new job in about two weeks ago. And there's something deeply satisfying about knowing I'm going to get that same amount every two weeks now that I'm no longer hourly. There's no OT so that's sad but... its a lot. Now to burn it on friends.

I forced myself out of the apartment for food and some drinks. Reading a book at the bar but so glad I got out. It's been a lovely treat for myself.

I love the weekends because i can relax and not do anything. But then I'm cooped up in the house and can't get myself to go outside and feel sick to my stomach and then get lonely. Vicious cycle.

Trapper got his first full on bath. He's still pretty chonky and has a hard time cleaning himself so I attempted it to see if it would help his itchiness. He did surprisingly well. No scratches, and he looks so fluffy clean now.

I went out for a pedicure yesterday to treat myself. Naturally the two people who joined next to me for pedicures as well was a lesbian couple getting married in a week. 🙃 At least the person doing my pedi was freshly single so we rolled our eyes together.

I'm at that point where randomly in the day I just have a moment of blinking and bewilderment where I remember at one point in time I was married and then divorced. Like I'm right back at that stage where I could have sworn that'd never happen to me. My how the turns table.

I always wanted to get a big house to put up friends that needed support and a place to feel welcome. Now that I'm going to get a better paying job and have the possibility of getting a better place I'm like... I can do that possibly! But uh... I live in Utah... where your vote don't matter.

I swear I couldn't ask for better management considering the situation. I'm taking my Chef's job and since we all know I'm taking his place with the transition they're putting in plans to make sure I'm set to succeed and the transition is smooth.
