In 2019, Trump expanded chapter 12 bankruptcy qualifications for farmers and fishers from 80% to 50% AG assets and $3M to $11M in debt. Chapter 12 allows you to hold assets instead of liquidation while you renegotiate terms. And if you do sell to pay off debt, it is TAX FREE! Bessent got in.
