IDK. It's just infuriating is all. I mean. I AM comparing the US South to more Northern England and Scotland. It's been a fucking hot minute since I've been back north. WILL NOT go back to the fucking middle.

And one can argue its because in the UK, people are less going to be assholes to your face and will do it behind your back. But at least I didn't feel like I was going to get shot at the pride events we went to--even including the "Jesus will love you despite your sins if you repent" flyby.

And yes, the UK definitely has its fucking populist issues and I am aware of the government shenanigans.

But I felt a significant difference between who I dealt with on the daily and this type of ilk (which I did ofc come across in my travels).

ANYTHING is used as an excuse to dehumanize things you can identify as the "other". :/
