They are very similar. For the wingless variety of fireflies (aka glow worms, not to be confused with New Zealand glow worm caves) get a very decent size :3

It sounds like the size and beak shape drives it away from being a redpoll. The consensus is a house finch with a leucistic patch! :D

Thank you for the explanation! I am familiar with the trait and its varied expression in general, it creates some beautiful combinations. I typically work more with invertibrates. It's so interesting to see it on one of our common birds!
