I never understood these live photo things... maybe I am too old?!

Still waiting for the outcome of my PIP renewal that I sent in last October.

Indeed, plus he likes to lick the dip that you get with the pizza!

Arnie decided if he couldn't have pizza, then I couldn't have it either!

My Cat Arnie is 12 at the end of March. He had 4 teeth taken out in September. Seemed to go OK, but he hates to travel.

I was thinking an old one might have incandescent bulbs. The label on the back should tell you how many watts it draws.
February 17, 2025 at 2:18 PM
The reason laser printers don't like UPSes is the huge power draw when you print a page - that's easily hundreds of watts. I don't know whats inside pinball machines that would have a huge draw.

Now that we have arcades which are more about the games and the history and you pay to get in, rather than per play, you can play them as they were intended.

"I will defy every stereotype"
February 17, 2025 at 1:25 PM
Truth... pocket money doesn't last long in the arcade when you're rubbish at the game!

The thing was at the time, I didn't have a console at home. I had an Amiga 600 from age 12. But at that point Amiga/PC games started to be replaced by SNES/Megasystem and then in 1994 - PS1. I never managed to build up tolerance to failure in video games to overcome my poor hand-eye co-ordination.

I remember playing Daytona a few times!

Can't say I really ever had the experience of being an 'arcade kid', living in the suburbs was hard!
February 17, 2025 at 12:34 PM
As in feeding change to play the pinball for the KWh used to make the machines work?

In the world of diabetes, carbs are both enemies and friends.
February 15, 2025 at 1:27 PM
Carbs are broken down into sugars in the body. Maybe that's where they went wrong?

Have you ever been to Crewe? Built as a Victorian model town, but we seem to delight in destroying the history that remains.

The worst is when you sneeze and it feels like you might die.

Zoomies?!

So actually I am living in the future by having Royal Mail able to do this kind of thing online? Although you do have to wait for the parcel.
