This is a ceanothus bush, commonly known as California lilac. Purple globe flower of an allium, aka ornamental onion Shrub with small pinkish violet flowers, with green leaves peaking through. I’m not sure what this is but it smelled like lilac.

Last of my pre-2025 sock WIPs done! I have yarn wound for new cast-ons, but my knitting mojo is weak right now - some sewing may be in order.

The first trees to blossom in my neighborhood are the ornamental plums. These are a week later than last year and so, so welcome!

Ventured up to LaConner this morning to view the Red Dress Embroidery project, at the Pacific Northwest Quilt and Fiber Arts Museum. It’s a bit over a hour drive from Seattle and the dress was absolutely worth the trek!

2025 sock finishes #7 and #8. I’m working through my basket of WIPs from the last couple of years. I’ve frogged a couple of projects and now there are just 3 pairs left in the basket!
