Yet more jazz to add to the collection! Two classics I grabbed recordings of from Japan. I’m sure I’ll enjoy both Leapin and Lopin’ and Search For The New Land. #jazzsky Here’s hoping I can add Sonny Clark and Lou Morgan to my jazz favourites. Time for a spin soon.

Dear #jazzsky I am a very happy man today because these classics arrived in the post over the last days alongside a copy of Donald Byrd’s Complete Live At The Olympia 1958 (case sadly not pictured.) I’ve listened to Time Changes and enjoyed it so I’m looking forward to Davis Cup and The Olympia

I also got some new additions to my growing Jazz collection! Firstly some classics from Wayne Shorter, then some classic J Jazz from Masaru Imada and company, and a bit of an oddity in the form of the Larry Rose Band (which I guess is more blues than jazz but it’s very interesting!

I’m very glad I managed to track this down. As a new fan of Jazz? I’m glad to be able to get my hands on some genuinely good modernish recordings. I may love stuff from the classic era of the 40s and 50s but modern recordings are also wonderful. Wynton Marsalis: Live at the House of Tribes!
