Well…he’ll never say no to non-burnt food. Unless it’s broccoli.

At least his mind is now off of the thing that was really keeping him up. Perhaps it wouldn’t be so hard to fall asleep.

“What’s your favorite animal? Maybe we can make origami of it tomorrow.”

It just might, if not he would just have to sleep the day away. Which would be fine if not for missing out on origami with mister spider.

“It’ll be fun.”

It was the closest thing to playing he’d had since he was quite small. So regardless it was deeply appreciated.

“I can show you how to make them when we get back. Maybe how to throw them to.”

A better word was offered at least.

“They glide.”

At least now he had someone to play with. Even if that someone was a centuries old demon. It was better than sitting home alone all day on the rare days off.

“It’s also fun to just watch them float around if you don’t have anyone to play with.”

Which was mostly what he did with very few exceptions. Sometimes he could get the other Hashira to throw them with him but they were all quite busy.

“To see who can make it fly farther like a contest. No one has beaten me yet.”

Something he was quite proud of if he was being honest.

Explaining things was his specialty.

“You fold them up and toss them like this.”

There he goes mimicking the throwing of an airplane…of course followed by the brilliant explanation of—

“And then they go woooosh.”

“Yeah mostly animals. I do have books that show me how to make more though.”

It would shock most people just how much you could make in origami. As long as you had patience you could manage to make many interesting things.

“I also like to make paper airplanes. Those are fun too.”

The distraction works…for now at least. The tone does become a bit more enthusiastic at least.

“Like the jumping frogs. I can also make cranes , bunnies , some flowers , crabs and jellyfish. There’s a lot more to.”

More…yes he knows more.Tokito could keep going if Kokushibō needed more fun crafts.

The scratching happened quite frequently when he was stressed out.

“Yeah. It’s fun , I can make all sorts of things.”

It was also something he could do by himself. Which was a bonus seeing as he didn’t have much in the way of friends.

A day that was clearly begrudgingly accepted by the tiny workaholic.

It would take some work to get him to agree to that. To him such things were pointless because he didn’t do much outside of work.

Still he started the walk, absent-mindedly wandering off in a direction. One hand eventually making it’s way over to scratch at the forearm above the cloth.

“mhm…”

A small nod before he quietly walked off to his bedroom. It took a few minutes before he came back.

Unfortunately he didn’t have much in the way of clothing so he was in his work uniform. At the very least it was comfortable enough for him.

“I’m ready.”

“I know.”

The teen was still in his pajamas after all. Of course he had tried to get to bed but it wasn’t going well. So he was going to try tiring himself out.

Again.

“I can’t sleep.”
