Trump claims Russia wasn’t included in the tariffs because there’s no meaningful trade to tax after the Ukrainian invasion. Yet, this isn’t true. While down significantly, Russia still sells $3b worth of products and the US runs a $2.5 billion trade deficit (which he claims these trades are about).
At first I thought to myself that they’re evil and dumb, but not to the point of actually using ChatGPT to make up those tariff numbers.

But the evidence is accumulating that yes, they might have been dumb enough to do that

Only major country not in tariffs list? Russia 🇷🇺

White House claims that this is because we “don’t have meaningful trade with Russia”

Yet this is a lie. By their own figures showing that we still import $3.5b from Russia, with a $2.5b trade deficit (which supposedly these tariffs are aimed at).

DC dems believe they know better than the voters. In hindsight, not having a 2024 primary and insiders choosing the nominee was an issue.

You gotta give it to them, Republicans listen. In 2016 and 2024 party elites tried to keep Trump off the ballot, but they were defeated by their own voters.

How can Schumer be respected if he publicly condemns Trump and calls him out as a danger to democracy, but behind closed doors cozies up to him and enables his Budget Bill to be passed?

Disgraceful for someone who should be leading the opposition against the rising tyrannical government #USPOL

The problem with Democratic leaders is that they think we still live in the times of rational political sentiment. They fear that being seen as uncooperative will ding their credibility.

They’re wrong

What will ding their credibility is caving and rolling over.

Donald Trump and Elon Musk want a shutdown to destroy vital government services faster.

It would be a disaster.

And we have to alert everyone how much pain it would cause the American people.

Before people complain about the loss of these kinds of jobs and blame free markets and globalism, let’s not forget that it strenuous menial labor for little pay. I guarantee you that those 350k textile workers in Manhattan wished their kids and grandkids would live a better life. The American Dream
