We've found and had some contact with his children (the oldest were born here) and grandchildren on Facebook. It's kind of fascinating how little they seem to know of Sweden (no Swedish of course), and how very American they are. (Some, uh, more than others. I unfriended those ...)

I'm Swedish and kind of grew up with the other side of the story. My grandfather's brother's family became mormons and moved to Salt Lake City in the 50s. Eventually lost all contact with the Swedish family and was just a weird family story in my childhood.
