I'm so glad this failed, you can either be secure or not. There is no such thing as a safe backdoor, it will be found and used by the ones you are trying to keep out. techcrunch.com/2025/05/09/f...
Florida bill requiring encryption backdoors for social media accounts has failed | TechCrunch
The bill would have required social media companies create encryption backdoors to allow access to users' private information.

haha, so I logged out of facebook from everything weeks ago and got an email saying I was tagged in something. So I wanted to see it, probably just spam, but I literally cannot login. I have a TOTP 2FA setup that it isn't giving me as choice to use.

Whoa, that is really clever. I was reading an article that the actors finally saw the ending and were surprised but this makes sense.

Turns out #WhiteLotus producers filmed 6 alternate endings to the show in order to prevent leaks. Though, they always knew how things were going to turn out.

I really enjoyed this podcast and in particular this episode. Tldr the wealthy feel just as powerless and are avoiding the real problems, if everyone would just try to help each other we could solve real issues instead of made up ones. pca.st/episode/b5f6...

I enjoy downloading my data from companies every so often just to see what are they are tracking about it. I was not expecting my amazon data to be almost 1GB in size....

Turns out its mostly just recordings of me saying "urgh Alexa stop".

I keep getting TrueCaller emails to get me back and in case anyone is looking to use them, I really don't recommend them. It is truly amazing how insecure caller id is -- VOIP providers can literally fake any number they want.

Ditched Chrome on my personal device for Firefox -- I'm not a fan of the new manifest v3 and browser fingerprint they are doing. I was dragging my feet to switch but really the Import Data moved almost everything over and within a few minutes was back to normal.

TIL - Bears don't actually hibernate all winter, only small animals like chipmunks, bees, snakes, mice hibernate while most larger animals enter a lighter state of sleep called torpor, where they can wake up easily if needed.

Nooooo, I'm happy for the Pixelmator team but this probably means #Apple is going to get rid of this app for whatever they are planning to release. My favorite #photoshop alternative.

One of my favorite TED talks is Does Money Make you Mean?

tldr; YES it definitely does.

Does money make you mean?
It's amazing what a rigged game of Monopoly can reveal. In this entertaining but sobering talk, social psychologist Paul Piff shares his research into how people behave when they feel wealthy. (Hint: ...

Guess my #docker needs a clean install again, this comes up every couple months on multiple machines so I'm not that surprised by it, just annoyed.
