indie game dev trying to make cozy and/or nsfw games.
i do but unfortunately it is on my sfw account, not sure if i want to link those yet. with biomes + WFC the idea is to group tiles by rules like moisture, altitude, etc (dirt, grass, snow, beach, ...) and use those groups to reduce the WFC options. WFC runs normally so you can repeat or mix & match

one approach that i have used is to have a "container" node3d at 0,0,0 which does not move to hold things like decals, particles, and other effects. you can give the container a unique `%name` or attach it to an `@export` variable, and a script to count/limit/remove its children for performance.

i have tested something like this and it works pretty well. you can use a variety of data points as the larger scale: biome gradients, room graph, or another form of WFC. hardest part is blending the edges and avoiding visible chunks

very cool. https is good, but ssh with a yubikey is even better

maybe they are unstable elementals, and the conflict comes from the environment. how do they interact with fire, water, electricity? do they absorb poisons? the suggestions here remind me of www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwD6... , where the slimes can grow, shrink, and split into many parts.

you could try git lfs with about.gitea.com, it has been working pretty well for me. github also supports git lfs but they charge quite a bit

start small, scope it out, and just release something. game jams are great but if you don't feel ready, do one by yourself. give yourself a time limit and scope, like 7 days to build 2 levels with 2 characters and 2 mechanics. set aside a day for testing and you win when it's on public on itchio

i like the outline with the gray and white backgrounds, but i think you could use either one if the background had more contrast. nice work either way
