What a marvelous little insect, sitting in the middle of a moonflower leaf #gardensky #bugsky

A small insect, no more than a centimeter in length, sits perched in the center of an emerald green, heinous moonflower leaf. Its bright, lime green, triangle-shaped head is facing the center of the leaf. It has two legs facing forward and two backwards, the same color as its head. It’s back is set in a brilliant periwinkle blue and bright pink, in an interlaid triangle pattern.

While spouse and child made gingersnaps for Santa, I got our first batch of fire cider this season brewing! A happy Xmas Eve to those who celebrate! 🌱🔥🎄❄️

Atop a butcherblock-style tabletop, there is fire cider in a rectangular, translucent, glass jar with oranges, limes, onion, garlic, ginger, sage, cloves, rosemary, cinnamon sticks, mullein, goldenrod, ginkgo biloba. To the left of the fire cider jar is a nutcracker cookie jar.
