This weekend, the Museum of Nature held its annual #Openhouse, where the public visited our research and collections facilities! I estimate that more than 2,000 people showed up! It was great to share with the public what we do in the museum, and I hope we inspired people!

I am pleased to announce that, in 2024, I will be joining the Senckenberg Deutsches Entomologisches Institut (SDEI) as the Curator and head of the Coleoptera section, taking care of more than 2 million beetles and 15.000 types! Stay tuned for future opportunities!🪲

Our lab manager at the CMN is so thoughtful that he even assigned a bench space AND put my name on it with my favorite colors. I’ve never been pampered like this in a lab!

Everybody plays the fool, sometimes! Phymata sp. (Hemiptera, Reduviidae) preying on a Yellowjacket (Vespula sp., Hymenoptera, Vespidae). So many discoveries in my backyard!
