38. Ori and the Blind Forest

An absolutely beautiful Metroidvania. There were a couple moments that actually made me emotional, though this game is light on story. The combat was very meh but the platforming was very well designed.

37. SMT IV: Apocalypse

This is a rejected shonen anime I'm convinced. I swapped between indifference and annoyance during the story. Dagda is the best character by far, and the gameplay is some of the best in the series. Pretty bad final dungeon.

36. Dayseeker: Creature in the Black Night

It's no surprise that the newest album by my favorite band is phenomenal. Rory Rodriguez's vocals are stellar. The tone of the songs is dark and emotional, as expected. I'm glad my months of waiting were worth it.

This was a cute game that's free on Steam. Simple and short, it was a nice single-sitting playthrough

I adore this game. The art style, the music, the voice acting, the different routes. I just adored my time with this game, and I think everyone who can handle a visual novel should give this game a shot.

33. Smiling Friends season 2

It had to grow on me, but I've learned to enjoy this season as much as the first. The Gwimbly, Alien, and Allen episodes are my favorites. The ending to the alien favorite being my favorite of the series.

32. Halo 2 (Replay)

I was shocked by the drastic improvement between this game and the original. Halo 2 RULES, and I had a blast going through it with my friend. There is only one real flaw with this game, and it's that the ending feels super anti-climactic.

31. Sonic the Hedgehog 3

I have a hard time deciding if this or 2 is my favorite. Jim Carrey was the MVP playing both villains, one of which had the funniest villain death I've maybe ever seen. I also appreciate them having more references to the games in this.

30. Sonic the Hedgehog 2

Even though it ran long, I loved this movie. Seeing Sonic and Tails going on an adventure made me nostalgic. Idris Elba as Knuckles was a great casting. The climax had me laser focused the entire time.

29. Sonic Adventure 2 (Dreamcast)

I liked this game much more than the first one. I didn't enjoy the way the radar was nerfed and I preferred Tail's levels in 1, but man this game just felt better 90% of the time. Final boss was terrible despite the hype.

28. Sweet Trip: You Will Never Know Why

Much preferred to the first album I listened to. The glitching sounds were gone, and the songs had a lot more vocals. Listened to it while doing dishes and just vibed. Still not my preferred type of music.

27. Sweet Trip: Velocity : Design : Comfort

Definitely outside my usual music taste. I thought the music itself was fine, but the use of electronic glitching sounds annoyed me and took me out of songs that used them.

26. Sonic Adventure

This game just didn't feel very good a lot of the time. Tails was my favorite story to play, Big was my least favorite (shocker). There's like 2 bosses that aren't terrible, and neither of them are among the recycled fights. Just a Lotta meh

25. Pokemon Unbound

This was my first time completing a ROM hack and I had a great time with it. From using a Metagross for a starter to a Fairy-type evil team, there was just a lot of neat touches to this game. I'll check out the post-game as well later.

24. Evil Dead 2

What a wild ride this was. Bruce Campbell was incredible in this (Shocker, I know). A lot of the stop motion effects are dated but charming and the gore is still good. I audibly laughed multiple times. Can't wait to watch Army of Darkness.

23. K-Pop Demon Hunters

Music and animation were great, as expected. The message isn't exactly subtle, but I don't think that's a bad thing. Didn't expect a Johnny Gat to play a quack doctor in this, so that was fun. I never felt bored through the entire runtime.

I enjoy the combat for the most part, but first game syndrome is apparent here. From all the endings just being text crawls to weird physics stuff. I also apparently with the worst character (Darkside) which was annoying

Playing this with a friend definitely adds to the experience, but it doesn't fix the game's bad level design and lack of weapon variety. Not planning to go back to it anytime soon.

Interesting to experience the first game in the series. A grindy dungeon crawler to the max, the game was ok until dungeons 4 and 5 which were so bad it's gonna drop the score hard. Lucifer looked amazing in this version.
